I quit passively consuming the Internet for a month: What I Learned

It has honestly been 1 month since I blocked websites like 4chan, lainchan and youtube, my life hasnt taken a drastic turn but I have become a better person I believe. I have had numerous benefits of doing so.

I have started doing 8-10k steps every single day as I would rather spend my time outside walking than looking at my phone or sitting on my laptop the whole day. Any activity that cuts into the time spent using electronics is worth it.

I have also learned how to cook a few bachelor tier meals like chicken, chicken friend rice, tea and fried potato. I love cooking snacks on my own whenever I'm back home and get free time for myself.

Consistently studying, although this started a bit late around 3 weeks after quitting these websites, I have been conistently studying every single day atleast for an hour. Although this doesn't sound much, it will compound itself and make me better. Even studying 1 hour for every single day for an entire year means you have worked for 9 full weeks of an year.

My sleep routine has also gotten better as I try to sleep around 1 am every single night and wake up at 9am. Before I would not sleep the entire night and just wing the entire day or sleep during the day. My entire routine was messed up as I would be watching youtube shorts for the entire night. I feel much better and refreshed now.

My hygine has also improved as I shower more often and try to brush before I go to sleep.

These are some of the baby steps I have taken to improve my life
